As members of the Wainwright Society Judy and I went to Robin Hood's Bay at 10.30am today to be present for the unveiling of an information board at the finish of Wainwright's 190 mile Coast to Coast Walk, which we completed in 2010.
In a joint project with the National Park Authorities and Parish Councils, information boards have now been installed at St Bees and Robin Hood's Bay to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Wainwright's popular walk.

We were welcomed by Society Committee Members Derek Cockell and Peter Linney, pictured above. In attendance for the unvieling of the board was Bernie McLinden, Head of Park Management, North York Moors National Park.
After the ceremony we joined a walk led by Wainwright Society Walker Leader Carolyn Nichol. We walked from Robin Hoods Bay up to Maw Wyke Hole and then returned to the Bay via the Coast Coast path.
